As of today, we are negotiating a settlement with the Lennar and Five Point Builder Defendants. This settlement is concerning the Injunction we filed in 2020 to stop Defendant Lennar from continued toxic digging without safety compliance. The case against Lennar and Five points focused on their 2020 conduct.
The hearing on the proposed settlement in December 2022, with Defendants Lennar & Five Points, WAS DENIED in court by the judge. The negotiations will continue.
The lawsuit against Defendant Tetra Tech is still ongoing.
If and when we should reach a confirmed settlement with any of the Defendants, we will post an update here to advise of the next steps.
It is important to realize that any settlement we reach on behalf of all the Plaintiffs will take over a year to finalize and disperse payments.
There is a different settlement being disbursed from last year for the families that bought a home from the builder Lennar.
This is with a different law firm, not us. That settlement was for the homeowners.
Your lawsuit with us is designated as “Residents”- Bayview Hunters Point RESIDENTS- (not the homeowners’ lawsuit)

Sharing an email address with someone else, like a minor or deceased, is okay. Everyone else 18 and over must send us a unique email address if they are a Plaintiff and have been sharing email addresses. If you have an elderly family member that you need to help fill out forms and they do not do email, get in touch with us and we can add them to your portal.
Our Staff have been trying to contact Plaintiffs who are sharing email addresses. Please return those phone calls and emails.

Again, to stay in the lawsuit , we must be in touch with all Plaintiffs. It is imperative that ALL PLAINTIFF’s get logged into the new portal. We have almost 4200 Plaintiffs (and counting) logged into the portal now. If you do not have internet or someone to assist you, we will make an appointment for those who need our help to log in. No worries.

Tetra Tech whistleblowers have finally exposed what the Hunters Point Community has known and declared for decades.
The courageous whistleblowers have made an enormous contribution in the name of public health and we cannot thank them enough for coming forward. In Honor and Memory of Chris Carpenter
Whistleblower & Friend, Chris Carpenter was the first to stand up and alert the Community to the toxic genocide being perpetrated against them. Chris was hailed a hero of the Bay View Hunters Point environmental justice movement.
Chris was fired by his employer for his courage to protect. Chris passed away on March 16, 2016 after suffering a painful cancer from the toxic exposures. Read More Here
Attorney Cabral Bonner Activist
Attorney Cabral’s deep understanding of the toxic genocide perpetrated against the community, lends his knowledge and patience in helping clients to understand what has happened and where do we go from here.
Mr. Bonner, having grown up fighting for civil rights, became his father’s law partner in 2006, after graduating Stanford Law School. His father’s fight for civil rights began in the 1960’s as a young activist in Selma, Alabama. Cabral has followed in his father’s footsteps, and together they are constantly battling injustice.
